Bawat A/S and Giantech are pleased to announce an agreement to provide Singapore based sales and solutions support of Bawat BWMS for maritime and offshore customers in Singapore.
Marcus Hummer, CEO at Bawat A/S says:” We have signed up with Giantech as our new sales and service representation in Singapore because of their expertise, market knowledge and strength in marine and offshore solutions. Their product portfolio is a great match to Bawat’s BWMS offering, and Giantech’s Singapore-based service setup is outstanding and brings support fast and close to our customers in Southeast Asia.”
Dilong Goh, Managing Director of Giantech, says: “Ballast Water Treatment operations for vessels is, to date, one of the key concerns on the minds of our customers here in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Each and every type of technology in the market has their own niche, and we are excited to have pasteurization approved by both USCG and IMO, which we believe is a huge game changer for many types of vessels.”
Bawat’s BWMS is the world’s first in-voyage ballast water management system utilizing onboard waste energy to treat water. The Bawat system ensures zero impact on ship performance and zero disruption to cargo and ballast operation while the vessel is in port. Built on known standard maritime components, the Bawat BWMS brings simplicity and robustness to ballast water treatment.
Bawat was formed in 2011 as a Danish family-led business. Main shareholders today include the Hummer family, Selfinvest Family Office, shipping-professional Klaus Nyborg and Danish Pension Fund MP Pension.
Giantech is a leading Life Cycle Management (LCM) company for marine equipment. Founded in 2001, it has been the official representative for numerous marine equipment brands, providing equipment, engineering services, technology and training to ship-owners and ship-managers around the world.
